Hidden Apostrophe Key
Did you know there is a hidden apostrophe key? When you are typing notes, emails or articles, instead of going to the second screen of the keyboard each time you want to put an apostrophe, all you have to do is push and hold the explanation (!) key. By doing this, a hidden option will appear, simply slide your finger over the apostrophe in order to type it.
Dim Light for Your iBooks
When you are reading books on your iPad, you should consider dimming the lights. The iBooks app actually has a slider that controls the brightness. You can conveniently lower the level when reading.
Download Photos from your Camera
The iPad is a miniature computer. You can get the iPad camera connection kit, which will allow you to plug your camera into the iPad in order to download the photos. You can purchase this device on the Internet straight from the Apple store.
Get to Those Sites Faster
When you are browsing sites, save time when typing the URL in Safari by using the “.com” key on your ipad. If you hold down the “.com” key, it will bring up a menu that offers a .co.uk option.
Zoom in on Those Websites
If you come across a website and you would get a closer look, simply put your two fingers on the screen and pinch out. This will make it easier for you to tap links and to select words. When it is time to zoo out, just pinch on the screen with your two fingers.
Clear Safari’s Browsing History
Do you have a reason to cover those tracks? You can do so by deleting the browser history. Simply open up the Settings application, tap on Safari and tap “Clear History.” While on the Settings app, you will also be able to clear your Cache and Cookies. When in Safari, you can turn on a “Private Browsing” mode. When this mode is turned on, your steps will not be tracked. Turn the Private Browsing mode on by going to the settings in Safari.
Find Text While Browsing a Page
While you are in Safari, you can search for the word you are looking for – this will make it easier to find what you want. Simply go to the Google search box and type your word in. You will see numerous suggestions and towards the bottom, you will see “On This Page” showing an amount of times the word appears on the said page. Click on the “Find” option and it will take you to the first instance of the said word.
