How To Make Homemade Tartar Sauce

Not everyone knows how to make homemade tartar sauce for their fish but now you can.?It is so simple and tasty you’ll find yourself?making it more often! Whether you prefer a more tart?tartar sauce (by adding a dash of plain vinegar) or a sweet one (adding a pinch of sugar) you can change the variations according to your own taste. Tartar sauce is one of the easiest condiment recipes?to make?only really requires 3 ingredients! Of course as with any recipe you can tweak it if you have?additional flavors you would like to add? or even experiment with, but to make homemade tartar sauce you only need the following ingredients:

Ingredients:?mayonnaise, lemon juice, relish (sweet or dill is up to your individual preference) and salt & pepper

I don’t want to give measurements for this recipe or yielding because it will depend on the amount of fish you’re serving and more importantly the amount of tartness you prefer in your tartar sauce. Personally I like it to be a little tart, so it brings out a little bit of a kick to the fish.? So all you have to do to make your homemade tartar sauce is mix the mayonnaise, I’d start with a cup, with 2 tablespoons of relish. Stir and then add 1/4 teaspoon of lemon juice. If you find that this only yeilds enough for one piece of fish, by all means double, triple, quadruple the quantity. (Salt and pepper are preferntial to taste.)

*If you want to go with something like a Mcdonald’s flavored tartar sauce, go with the sweet relish.
