Today’s Tip: How To Help The Environment/ Go Green
We’ve all heard about or seen pictures of what is going on in the?environment, and the world overall. How can?each person help fix the envionment?and go green? By doing their part as small as it may be, that’s how. You don’t neccesarily have to go out and buy a hybrid car but you can do little things to do your part. By investing in the energy efficient lightbulbs, one of the easiest and cheapest way to go green. When it comes time for replacing your appliances, whether it’s a new washer/dryer, refrigerator, or dishwasher, there are so many options out there now that are energy efficient. Yes, sometimes, they may be slightly higher in cost, but overall, it is worth it because a) you save money in the long run, the appliances are meant to last longer so you won’t have to re-replace for a long time and b)?they are specifically designed to?cause less use of water and less use of electricity so that saves you money right there on a monthly basis.
Other ways to help fix the environment and go green can include picking up trash in public places, because pollution and garbage do not help the environment. Wasting electricity by leaving lights on can be eliminated, running water when it is unneeded can help save gallons of water, and also there are certain times of the day to do laundry – after 8pm so that it uses the least amount of electricity. You can also do your part to help fix the environment and go green by recycling.
It is extremely important to recycle because many things can be made from recycled goods (plastic, newspaper, cans, etc.) and instead of going into a big heaping garbage pile that may take 10 years to get rid of, you can recycle and make things out of it. I’ve even seen a cloth tablecloth made out of recycled goods. Try buying foods in eco-friendly packaging. Not to waste the amount of plastic or aerosole cans, just the little things that you can do from common sense?to help fix the environment and go green.
There are 2 really good documentaries about this should you get motivated enough to research the topic: 1) the prince of England – Prince Charles “Harmony” and 2) Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”. They are very moving and will inspire you even more to do your part and help not only your immediate environment but the world overall. Each person’s step helps everyone else. It’s not so much that you’re in immediate danger of the world’s climate drastically changing or?that the polar bears are going to go extinct tomorrow, but if everyone keeps saying “tomorrow” then tomorrow never comes and everyone who put off til tomorrow what they could have done?today is to blame. Future generations such as your?children and their children may not know what clean air is, or the?temperature changes when the seasons change, or what a polar bear was supposed to look like. Do your part to help fix the environment and go green! Good Luck & Enjoy 🙂
