How To Have A Brighter Smile

Jealous of those people with the pearly whites? You can have em too. And no you don’t have to go out and spend mega bucks to get your teeth whitened in order to have a brighter smile. But you will need to be able to invest time and patience in your smile.

Start by purchasing a whitening strip. We recommend Crest whitening strips. They don’t have to be the fancy kind just regular whitening strips will do the trick. Now the thing with strips is that they recommend a regimen of twice a day. However that is not neccesary. You can do one time a day for an hour if you can fit it into your schedule -whether on your way home from work or during your morning routine of getting ready, etc. Some people note a sensitivity when using whitening strips but it does go away after a little while when your teeth get used to using the strips. (You can also take care of that by using a sensitive toothpaste.)

But crest strips are not the only thing to help you get a brighter smile. You also need to make sure you are brushing with the right toothpaste for your teeth. Everyone has a preference of toothpaste from brand to flavor but it is important that you are using a whitening and plaque fighting toothpaste. Arm & Hammer puts out a great line of toothpaste that includes baking soda etc and has whitening toothpaste that guarantees 2 shades lighter within a certain period of time. Each box of Arm & Hammer contains a small grid of teeth shades that you can use to monitor your progress.

Another thing to invest your time in while trying to brighten your smile is the time to floss. This will eliminate a buildup of tartar, plaque, food between your teeth, etc. When you have good oral hygeine you convey that through smiling more often because you feel better about yourself.

It is always recommended to cut down on teeth staining products such as: red wine, coffee, tea, dark soda known as the colas, tobacco -cigarettes. You don’t need to cut these things out of your life completely (Except maybe cigarettes!) but limit the amount of teeth staining products in our diet and you will start to see a difference. By using the whitening strips, a whitening toothpaste, flossing, and eliminating an abundant amount of teeth staining products, you will be on your way to having a brighter smile in no time at all!

Good Luck & Enjoy 🙂
